The North Shore Community Association (NSCA), established in 2000, is a non-profit regional organization dedicated to serving, representing, and instilling pride in the English-speaking community of Quebec's North Shore. The NSCA, a community group that is primarily supported by the Department of Canadian Heritage, is working towards representing the interests of the English-speaking people from Tadoussac to Havre-St.Pierre including Fermont and Schefferville.

Community Involvement Award 2022

Marc Deslauriers Outstanding Community Involvement Award, an initiative that began in 2009 to recognize individuals for their outstanding contribution to the community. This award celebrates individuals who have made significant contribution to the vitality of the English-speaking community of the North Shore. Candidates should have provided strong and active leadership and commitment as an active volunteer in their community.

Job Posting

The NSCA is currently recruiting for a Community Development Agent who will assume the following responsibilities, under the direction of the NSCA Executive Director.  The position is based in Sept-Iles and the person will be required to travel occasionally.

 

A Community Development Agent will be responsible for identifying necessary resources and providing support for the overall community development strategies, as identified by the Executive Director, which will help strengthen the capacity of individuals and communities.

Bubbly Story Time session

Join us on Saturday, May 28th for  a fun morning of reading stories and creative paly with bubbles. Contact the publice library at 418-964-3355 to register your toddler.

NSCA is offering a Student Community Involvement Bursary to graduating students from North Shore schools. To apply you must complete a short application form which can be found on the Reports & Publications tab.

ON-LINE PROGRAM IN ENGLISH - EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AEC PROGRAM

 

Are you looking to broaden your horizons and engage yourself in a meaningful and rewarding career?

Do you like working with children? Would you like to become a trained early childhood educator?

If so, contact Jody at NSCA! We are currently collaborating with Groupe Collegia and other community partners to offer an AEC in Early Childhood Development. This training program will be offered in English.

You may qualify for funding with Emploi-Quebec to take this training. Eligibility is evaluated on a case-by-case basis with a program agent from the local CLE office.
